Hi First of all thanks for all your work on Calibre seems a pretty useful tool but I'm still getting to grips with it.

I'm finding the series field a little tricky, is there some way to have the next number in series to be added automatically. ie if there is already a pirates 1, 2, and 3 and I input pirates in series field can calibre guess 4?

When batch converting files to ePub for my iPhone, is there (or could there) be a way to automatically delete the original as having duplicates just takes up unnecessary drive space.

Having the series number auto increment is a good idea, it will be implemented soon. There is no way to automatically delete the originals after a conversion, but the next release of calibre will have the ability to delete all books of a specific format/or not of a specific format which should make this very easy.
